Grading
How we grade
Three grades, kept honest. If something sits between two, it gets the lower one.
- ALike new
- Barely used. Only light marks you have to look for.
- BGame-ready
- Honest scuffs, chips and puck marks. Nothing cracked or structural.
- CWell-loved
- Heavy wear or listed repairs. Still sound and safe to use.

Accept the offer and we email you a prepaid, tracked shipping label. Or drop it off by appointment in Beaverton.

We look it over in person. If it matches what you told and showed us, we pay by Interac e-Transfer to an account in your name. If it doesn't, we show you what's different and offer a revised price or send it back, and the shipping both ways is on you.

Helmets and cages
Helmets need a legible CSA Z262.1 mark and a date label showing they're 5 years old or less. Cages and face shields need CSA Z262.2.

No photos of ID
Please don't send photos of ID or people. We look at photo ID in person at hand-off, and we never copy it.

We use what you send only to make you an offer and buy your gear. If we don't buy it, we delete your proposal and photos within about 90 days. Your privacy

What do you buy?
Hockey and golf gear with life left in it: sticks, skates, gloves, pads, goalie gear, clubs, bags and carts. Kids' gear too. We don't buy damaged, modified or recalled protective gear, counterfeit gear, or anything with a defaced serial number.
What about helmets and cages?
Hockey helmets need a legible CSA Z262.1 mark and a date label, and must be 5 years old or less. Cages and face protectors need CSA Z262.2. Goalie helmets with a built-in cage need both. No helmets that took a major hit or were painted or drilled.
How and when do you pay?
By Interac e-Transfer to an account in your name, once we've checked the gear. For drop-offs that's usually at the hand-off. If you ship it, it's right after we inspect it, usually within 2 business days of it arriving. If you take a revised price for shipped gear, we pay that minus the cost of our prepaid label. We look at photo ID at hand-off to confirm your name, and we never copy it.
What if the offer doesn't work for me?
Then that's that, no hard feelings. Offers are good for 7 days, and you can back out any time before we pay. If you back out after you've shipped it, the shipping both ways is on you.
What if you don't buy it once you've seen it?
We decide once we've seen the gear in person. If it matches what you told and showed us and we still pass, we ship it back at our cost. If it's materially different (a defect you didn't mention or show, the wrong size or model, missing parts), you pay for our label and the shipping back, at our actual cost. Or pick it up in Beaverton and skip the return shipping. See who pays for shipping.
Can I return used gear I bought from you?
Used gear is final sale if you change your mind. If it isn't as described or isn't safe, tell us within 14 days and we'll pay the return shipping and refund you in full. Your legal rights aren't affected. See Returns.
